I’ve found that whever I start into a downward spiral of panic, I can remind myself of the simple truth: “oneness”. I’m seeing that most of my worries and freaking out begins with the idea of “separateness”. Being such a child of a new culture, it’s easy to get into us v them, right v wrong, our way v their way ramblings. I think it’s natural to do that, but the “oneness” concept so far has helped me not attach to the mental constructs too much.
When the going gets tough, I try to channel super-oneness-model, Bob Magnie. Or as my friend Scott suggested, try smiling in a way that feels like a hug. So, I’ll try that!
