Love Motel

My school is putting us new teachers up for the week in Seoul. I was surprised that it is a “love motel”. To other people, this means that there is an hourly rate for rooms.

I’m not sure what difference that makes to me. But, I have noticed that this room itself has an assortment of interesting amenities. In addition to the standard bed, tv, phone:

– two lovely robes

– hair spray

– bug spray (as in Raid rather than Off)

– hair brush and comb (not new but clean mostly)

– cologne

– qtips

– 3-pack of condoms

– an in-room water filter

– desktop computer and internet access

– fancy looking tub with sound system in the bathroom

– separate slippers for the bedroom, and another set for the bathroom
