Poem: A Chance to Meditate

Ah, sorry
I’m running late!
Oh, don’t worry
Why would I be irate
In fact
It’s great
Gives me a chance
To meditate

About the poem:

Just wrote down what happened last night.

Now that I know that any time is as good as any other time, I don’t ‘wait’ anymore. If I’m stuck with nothing to do, great! It’s a window of time, I can meditate. Even a few minutes, like last night at 10pm, on the benches where we meet to walk, enjoying a few minutes of summer night with nothing to do…was heavenly.

Meditation is my chance to get all the voices in my head on the same team. When I take time to meditate, I’m more ‘together’. But sometimes I’m too lazy to do it on my own, so when an unexpected delay pops up, woohoo! There ya go!

  1. This is great and true, I love it. I need to take time out of my day, each day to meditate. Will be good for my mind and for my soul and for me. Will make me a better person. So on that note, I will start this today. Thank you Joan for the well-needed reminder.
