Poem: Step Together

step-together-red-rocks

True, it is me, and me alone,
That must take the next step
But still
I don’t have to go alone
We can take that step together
My step will be surer
And I might feel better
If we step together

About the poem:

Today, I went to Red Rocks Amphitheater to enjoy the view and the fresh air, and exercise with my family. I’m amazed by the things they know. I always learn something when I am with them, such as a tip for improving my form or for getting motivated. I tried a few new exercises for getting up the amphitheater steps: some were pretty easy and for others I felt quite awkward.

Later in the morning, I contacted a mentor of mine. I said I might need some coaching sessions to get going with radio interviews. His advice, Just do it. It will be awkward at first, but you’ll get better at it.

So, my lesson of the day seems to be that you don’t need to feel stuck. You don’t need to always go it alone, or be perfect on your first try. Just step together!

And on top of all that,  Bruno Mars played at Red Rocks the previous two nights, so we felt his inspirational presence too! Together!
