Poem: When Fear Sneaks Up on Me …a Halloween wish

2013-10-27 DSC03597

When fear sneaks up on me
Trying to scare me
Out of my wits
Let me see it
As a five-year-old
In a witch’s costume
And giggle
With delight
In its attempt
To trick me
Let it not
Distract me
From love

About the poem:
Happy Halloween! Fear is the opposite of love. Interesting, right?

I have a pumpkin baking now so I’ll have something delicious later (to remove temptation from eating a bunch of candy!) And, today is the last day that the Tanaka farmstand in Longmont is open. I’m going to go get some more of that autumn harvest while I can!

What are you doing for Halloween?
