Poem: Peanut Butter …a Haiku

Chunky or creamy
Freshly ground, at the market
Celery’s best friend

About the poem:
Today, I delivered freshly ground peanut butter to a friend, who’d never tasted it before. Compared to a lifetime of storebought peanut butter, the wonderful flavor blew the taster’s mind! Where does our food go after it leaves the land, before it makes it to our table? Why?

Peanut butter or almond butter are perfect spread on crunchy fresh celery sticks or apple slices.  I love this for a mid-day snack.
