Poem: Laughing Together

2012-10-20 IMG_2110

My true friend
How many hours did we spend
In a coffee shop
Or on a walk
In any kind of weather
Talking about real stuff
And laughing together

My true friend
Forever in my heart
Half a world away
Laughing together

Half a world away
Forever in my heart
Laughing together
My true friend

About the poem:
I have not been a constant friend, in the way others are. I have traveled for a year at a time, time and time again. That means, that wherever I go, I depend on close friends, and then I leave. Shit.

So, I’m luckier beyond belief to have found these beautiful people who took me in to their hearts. There is no way I can ever forget that. Or forget them. And I remember the many times we shared our deepest troubles, and ended up laughing together.
