Poem: Quieter Still

DSC03991

Now I lay me down to sleep
My thoughts are racing
My worries are deep
Hollllllllddd on

Now I lay me down to sleep
My life is rich
My life is deep
Ahhhhh

Let me get quieter
And quieter still
Like the kitty cat
Walking on a snowy hill

Now I lay me down to sleep
Quieter
Quieter still
I’m a kitty cat
Walking on a snowy hill

Walking in the snow
Do I have a care in the world?
Heck no!
Sweet dreams, ahhhh

About the poem:
Do you sleep well at night? Sometimes, many times, when I lay down my mind is racing. But now, I know, it is within my power to become calm. I remember the gift of this day, and gratitude and deep breathing usually wash over me and quiet my mind. Sometimes, I must get up and sit down. Either way, once I feel peaceful, I can fall asleep, no problema!

This little cat, and another one, walk out into the middle of the snowy park area in front of my apartment. Dogs in the snow are a big floppy mess of confusion. But these cats, just walk out there, hang out for awhile, then casually walk back. They make me laugh!
