Poem: Say Goodbye

Do what you need to do
Say what you need to say
The waiting is over
Say it today

Your smiling eyes can’t deceive
Everyone knows it’s time to leave
Your smiling eyes can’t lie
Your hello sounds like goodbye

You can forgive
And be forgiven
You can fade away
Or you can be livin’

Say what you need to say
I’m sorry, maybe
I love you, for sure

Say what you need to say
Say goodbye

About the poem:

The hardest and best things I’ve ever done began by ending something first. I’m a big fan of divorce, changing jobs, moving away from family …whatever it takes to bust out of something that isn’t working.

  1. well-played! My fear had been my excuse for hanging on for such a long time. Making decisions to be happy was a thousand pounds off my shoulders. I am happy. Hope to bump into you again one day! danny Date: Mon, 8 Jun 2015 17:45:27 +0000 To: dmadigan@hotmail.com
